YEREVAN. – If the team aspires for success, it needs to have a good goalie and goal scoring footballers, Armenian national league’s second-place team and Super Cup winner Pyunik FC’s now former and Armenian National Team’s present Head Coach Vardan Minasyan stated during a press conference, on Friday.   

Summing up the results of Armenia’s national league, Minasyan said the competition was evenly balanced.   

Now that Suren Chakhalyan will become Pyunik’s head coach, Vardan Minasyan will work as a technical manager at Pyunik’s school.

And with respect to the national squad’s future plans, Minasyan noted that a friendly game is scheduled for February, but the opponent is yet unknown. 

He also said the positive side to not being Pyunik’s head coach anymore is that he now will have more time to check the Armenian footballers who play abroad.   

Also, Vardan Minasyan said he agrees with the decision to ban foreign goalkeepers in Armenia’s national league.
