YEREVAN. – On Friday, the ruling coalition’s Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) representatives were refusing to comment on the news that they will run in the upcoming parliamentary elections in a united list with the other coalition partners, namely, Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and Rule of Law Party (RLP), Haykakan Zhamanak daily writes.  

“Our sources continue to maintain that, not only is this decision reached, but [PAP Chairman Gagik] Tsarukyan has also agreed to the third spot in this united list. The list will be topped by [President] Serzh Sargsyan. With this version, the second place will be [designated] for PM Tigran Sargsyan. [But] Government sources inform that, although Tsarukyan has initially agreed to this version, he wants the second spot in this list. And [RLP Chairman and National Security Council Secretary] Arthur Baghdasaryan is not in this list, as he wants to become Armenia’s Chief Prosecutor, prior to the elections,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
