YEREVAN. – Several hundreds of Armenian drivers are still in the Upper Larse, on the Russian-Georgian border, head of Association of International Road Transport of Armenia (TIR) Herbert Hambardzumyan informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Hambardzumyan believes that the issue will be discussed during the upcoming visit of the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan to Georgia on Tuesday. Armenian delegation includes also the Minister of Transportation and Communication Manuk Vardanyan.

According to him, the Georgian side closed the passing point as the road is dangerous for people in winter. However, no official explanation and details were provided.

Armenian News-NEWS.am earlier reported that Georgian authorities have limited the border passing on November 12 without any official information. Trailers, trucks, mini trucks, and buses with more than 30 seats cannot pass the Georgian border.  It is already three weeks that 200 Armenian trucks are waiting at the border.
