YEREVAN.- Every meeting with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan contributes to improvement and deepening of Armenian-Georgian relations, Mikhail Saakashvili said at the opening of Armenian-Georgian business forum on Wednesday.
Georgian leader stressed that they welcome Armenian president’s work and admired the reforms in agriculture, introduction of new technologies in the neighboring state, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports from Tbilisi.
“Armenia may serve as an example on many issues,” he stressed.
Introducing the economic situation in Georgia, Saakashvili noted it has changed a lot since 2033.
“Currently, Georgia is a country with the most favorable business climate in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. According to the World Bank, Georgia is the first reformer in the world for the past 5 years. Georgia has one of the world’s fastest customs procedures, as well as most effective and transparent government after New Zealand,” he added.
He stresed that unlike the neighboring states, Georgia does not have natural resources such as oil and gas, “but we do not have what they have - we do not have the bureaucracy, corruption, crime.”
“Thus, Georgia is a favorable country for foreign investments,” Saakashvili said.
