YEREVAN.- Armenian-Georgian business forum is important for further development of the two states, said Armenian leader Serzh Sargsyan.

President Sargsyan and his Georgian counterpart Mikhail Saakashvili opened on Wednesday the Armenian-Georgian business forum held in Tbilisi, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports.

President Sargsyan attached importance to Georgia’s development adding that Armenia is moving in the same way overcoming consequences of global crisis.

He also said that 5% GDP growth is expected in Armenia this year, including the construction sector (11-12%) and information technologies (25%).

Stable development of IT, President said, is incentive to foreign investments. Asked about Armenian investments in Georgia, Sargsyan said it is quite natural as money should be invested where it can bring profit.

“If certain companies were closed in Armenia and opened in Georgia, it would definitely arouse concern. We want to see Georgian capital in Armenia, as well as the Armenian capital in Georgia,” he stressed.
