MOSCOW. – Leaders of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states will have an unofficial meeting in Moscow on December 20. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is expected to participate as well. Arrangement on the meeting was made during the previous one in Astana. Currently the meeting agenda is being worked out.
Sessions of the Council of FMs, Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils and Council of MODs will be held on the eve of the summit.
The previous meeting of heads of CSTO member-states was held on August 12 this year in Astana, Kazakhstan. The participants discussed in particular the situation in the Middle East, North Africa and Afghanistan, as well as issues on prevention, control and elimination of consequences of natural and anthropogenic disasters in the CSTO zone.
CSTO features Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
