YEREVAN.- Armenian Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan and UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia Dafina Gercheva signed a memorandum of understanding on Friday.
The document envisages UNDP assistance in training the staff of the Economy Ministry.
The Ministry employees will hold trainings in European structures Tigran Davtyan said stressing that the Ministry needs skilled employees to be engaged in talks and cooperation with international agencies. First of all it refers to preparation of the EU free trade agreement, as well as relations with the World Bank, World Trade Organization, Asian Development Bank.
Dafina Gercheva added that UNDP had been efficiently cooperating with Armenia for 20 years and the memo is another step aiming for development of strategic cooperation.
