Powerful floods in Central and Eastern Europe have claimed the lives of at least 11 people, reports DW.
On September 16, Czech police reported that one person drowned in the Krasovka River near the town of Bruntal. Seven more are missing in different regions of the country. In addition, two dead were found in flooded houses in Austria.
Earlier, it was known about eight victims of the disaster: six people died in Romania, where thousands of houses flooded, and one more - in Austria and Poland. The cause of bad weather was cyclone “Boris”, which brought heavy rains, strong winds, and in some European regions - and snowfall.
