US presidential candidate from the Republican Party Donald Trump will open a second golf course in the Scottish county of Aberdeenshire in the east of Scotland in 2025. This was reported by the BBC broadcasting corporation.
According to its data, 18-hole course MacLeod Course, named in honor of the mother of former U.S. President Mary Anne MacLeod, will accept players at the Trump International resort from the summer of 2025. The course will feature “the largest sand dunes in Scotland,” according to a statement from the resort's administration. Construction of the golf course began in 2023 despite protests from local environmentalists.
Trump's recently Trump-owned Turnberry Golf Course in southwest Scotland was named the most expensive place to play the game in the UK. The fee for a round reached £1,000 (more than $1,300).
