YEREVAN.- Members of the Armenian Parliament held a moment of silence for the victims of the 1988 devastating Spitak earthquake.
MP Areg Ghukasyan offered to postpone vote on bills for Thursday. The offer was supported by Vice Speaker Samvel Balasanyan.
According to official data, more than 25 thousand people died, 19 thousand were disabled, and 530 thousand lost their homes as a result of the 1988 earthquake.
