YEREVAN.- The Armenian government should not forget about its promises given 4-5 years ago, MP from ARF Dashnaktsutyun Artsvik Minasyan told journalists on Friday.

If the government cannot implement the programs due to some reasons, it must step down, he said.

According to Minasyan, a new government should be formed to present a new program which would better tackle the existing problems.

The initiative on vote of no confidence in government was twice rejected by the ruling coalition but finally was included in the agenda.

“The government should realize its responsibility. One cannot promise something and forget about it in 4-5 years,” he added.

ARF Dashnaktsutyun’s criticism is mainly directed against failure to comply medium-term expenditure program for 2009 – 2011.  

In 2011 spending on social protection was to make AMD 331 billion, on education – AMD 169 billion, health - AMD 102 billion. However, in 2012 these sectors will get only AMD 304, 108 and 64 billion respectively.
