The Polish government is considering cash payments to migrants who agree to return from Poland to their home countries. This is reported by Radio Zet radio station.

“This is one of the tools that increases the chances that a given person will voluntarily return to [his or her] state of origin or transit state,” Deputy Interior and Administration Minister Maciej Duszczyk told the radio station.

He said the bill on the payments should go before Sejm deputies by the end of the year. If it is approved, the payments may start from January 2026.

At the same time, the official ruled out the possibility of creating camps for migrants in Poland, following the example of Italy or the UK.

The amount planned to be given to a migrant who agrees to leave Poland, the deputy head of the Interior Ministry did not name.
