One third of the vehicles waiting to cross the Russian-Georgian border at the Upper Lars checkpoint are trucks from Armenia, according to the North Ossetian road traffic center.
As per the latest data, 1,832 trucks are registered in the queue, and 580 of them are from Armenia.
According to online data, the crossing through the green zone—directly at the border—is now closed, but neither the Georgian nor the Russian sides have issued an official statement in this regard.
As indicated by statistics, about 150 trucks from Armenia pass through the Upper Lars checkpoint on a daily basis.
