YEREVAN. – December 10 is Human Rights Day. The Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms are also specified in the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, and the institution of Human Right Defender is also established in the country.
Political forces, and several international and local NGOs carry out activities toward the protection of human rights in Armenia.
And on the occasion of Human Rights Day, several events will be held in the capital Yerevan, on Saturday. Specifically, the opposition Armenian National Congress will start a march from Liberty Square. Also, a protest will be held, nearby the Russian Embassy, in defense of people who were subjected to post-election violations in Russia.
