YEREVAN. – The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will study the proposal to build six new seismic stations around Armenia’s Nuclear Power Plant. Such accordance was reached during Friday’s meeting between the Minister of Emergency Situations, Armen Yeritsyan, and IAEA representative, Andrei Chupov.    

Chupov stated that IAEA is prepared to cooperate in raising Armenia’s, and, first and foremost, the nuclear plant’s, seismic safety.   

To note, Andrei Chupov is in charge of all IAEA programs being organized and implemented in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, and Moldova.
