Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, met with the President of Vietnam, Luong Cuong, as part of his official visit to Vietnam.

The Armenian NA speaker thanked the Vietnamese side for the warm welcome, and added that he considers his current visit to Vietnam to be very effective.

The president of Vietnam, in turn, thanked the Armenian NA speaker for this visit, and noted that a new chapter is opening in bilateral relations.

At the ensuing talk, the two parties discussed Armenian-Vietnamese relations.

The interlocutors touched also on investments, and emphasized that despite the growing pace of trade between the two countries, there are still unrealized resources.

The plan of starting cooperation in the education sector—and based on successful historical track record—was also at the core of the discussions.
