More than 570,000 internally displaced persons in Lebanon are returning home after the announcement of a ceasefire, informed the Office for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Lebanon.

As noted in the respective document, as of November 28, more than 578,600 internally displaced persons have started returning to their homes after the ceasefire. This is about 65 percent of the 899,700 internally displaced people who were recorded between October 8, 2023 and November 25, 2024.

The report added that 51 percent of these internally displaced persons are women, and 49 percent are men.
