YEREVAN. – After handing over his bullet-proof service vehicle to the Armenian National Assembly (NA), former NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan now travels around with his own car with “100 OO 01” special license plates, Zhoghovurd daily writes.  

“And an automobile with police sirens follows that car. But an ordinary MP has no right to have such license plates, let alone an escorting protection service. Why does Hovik Abrahamyan have a privileged status? NA Chief of Staff Gegham Gharibjanyan told Zhoghovurd that it is an accepted norm in the world that NA speakers travel with such license plates. But Gharibjanyan was uninformed about the escorting car with police sirens,” Zhoghovurd writes.
