ROME.- President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan met on Tuesday with President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Gianfranco Fini to discuss relations between two countries’ parliaments.

The sides stressed importance of strengthening relations between the parliaments, as well as cooperation in the fields of economy and culture, presidential press service reported. According to them, friendly ties between the states can become a good basis for further development. In this regard they also pointed out presence of the Armenian community in Italy.

In Rome President Sargsyan also met with Vice President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Riccardo Migliori to discuss cooperation between Armenia and OSCE, OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Armenia’s National Assembly.

The delegation headed by the Armenian leader is leaving fro Venice on Wednesday.
