The ceasefire between Hamas and Israel will come into effect on Sunday at 12:15pm.

However, Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip will continue until the ceasefire officially comes into force.

The first phase of the ceasefire will last 42 days, during which 33 Israeli hostages—most of whom are alive—will be released, reports Today in Israel.

In return, Hamas will receive:

Release of 1,000 prisoners;

They will be sent to Gaza, Qatar, or Turkey;

Withdrawal of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) from the Netzarim Corridor;

Increasing humanitarian aid to up to 600 trucks per day;

Residents of northern Gaza Strip will be able to return to their homes from the 22nd day;

Most of the IDF will be withdrawn from the Philadelphi Corridor.

The second phase of the ceasefire will begin on the 43rd day of the deal, after additional arrangements are made, and will also last for 42 days. It includes the return of all other hostages.
