The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council has started its first meeting this year in a narrow structure. The event is held in Almaty, reports MIR 24.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin arrived in Almaty on a three-day visit. The Russian Prime Minister earlier met with the country's Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev.

The enlarged meetings are scheduled for January 31. Apart from Mishustin and representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the meeting will be attended by the observers of the Union Iran, Cuba and Uzbekistan, as well as invited guests Azerbaijan and Tajikistan.

Armenia is represented by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.

The heads of government will consider the prospects of increasing integration cooperation in the EAEU, the work of the Eurasian market, the macroeconomic situation, and the promotion of joint projects. Special attention will be paid to the mechanism of subsidizing cooperation projects from the EAEU budget, as well as cooperation in the customs sphere, in particular, the practical use of navigation seals for tracking transportation.
