YEREVAN. - Armenian State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition’s (ASCPEC) studies and daily monitoring have not yet found any substantial deviations in food prices, ASCPEC Chairman Artak Shaboyan stated during a press conference on Wednesday.

But he also pointed that ASCPEC solely studies those markets where there are dominant position holders and the prices of several supermarkets, since the latter hold a dominant position in the retail trade network, too.     

As per Artak Shaboyan, large business representatives are invited to the Commission and cautioned to refrain from violations. 

So far, an insignificant change is noticed in the price of eggs, as, instead of the previous 60 drams (approx. 16 US cents), one egg is now sold in Armenia for 62 drams (approx. 16.5 cents).
