YEREVAN.- A fire started Tuesday in one of the three gasoline cisterns, which had derailed nearby Arinj village of Armenia’s Kotayk Region.

To note, three of the four South Caucasus Railways Company cisterns, which were loaded with close to 240 tons of gasoline, had derailed for yet unknown reasons.  

Teams from the Crisis Management Center and the Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene.  

South Caucasus Railways Company had informed that the gasoline was to be transferred.  

Subsequently it was informed that the engine of the gasoline transfer truck had caught fire. Several firefighting squads were dispatched to the scene, and the fire was extinguished.    

The firefighters and the rescuers kept watch.
