YEREVAN. – In 2011, the Armenian Development Agency brought in US$ 13-14 million foreign investments, the Agency’s Director Robert Harutyunyan stated Tuesday, adding that, with the Agency’s assistance, the volume of export constituted $8-9 million.

The Armenian Development Agency’s main priorities continue to be tourism, high technology, construction material, and food industry.

Specifically, twenty-five tons of cheese were exported to Russia. And in the tourism sector, an arrangement is reached, with a Latvian company, toward a one-million Euro investment. “In the hotel business, we are conducting talks, with Ukraine’s Reycards Company, toward the construction of three- and four-star hotels in Armenia. There is a considerable lack of economy-class hotels in Armenia,” Robert Harutyunyan said.
