Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has prohibited members of the Israeli government from giving media comments about the Gaza peace agreement until all hostages held by Hamas are released, Israel’s Channel 14 television reports.

This directive will remain in effect until the implementation of the plan for the return of all living and deceased captives, which is intended as the first phase of a peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Palestinian enclave of Gaza Strip.

Thursday night, the Israeli government approved the agreement for the release of all hostages — both living and deceased — the PM’s office had announced.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday had stated that after negotiations in Egypt, representatives of Israel and the radical Palestinian Hamas movement had reached an agreement on the first phase of this peace plan. He had added that this phase provides for the release of all hostages in the near future and the withdrawal of Israeli troops to an agreed line inside Gaza.
