The ceasefire in the Gaza Strip entered into force at noon local time on Friday, informs the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

The ceasefire agreement took effect at noon, and the IDF troops began taking positions along the updated deployment lines as part of preparations for the implementation of the ceasefire and the hostage return agreement.

The troops of the IDF’s Southern Command are deployed in the area and will continue to neutralize any immediate threats, added the IDF press service.
