YEREVAN. – In comparison with 2010, the volume of natural gas Armenia imported from Russia increased by 11.73 percent in 2011, and it constituted 1.6 billion m3, ArmRusGazprom Company informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.   

Also in the year past, the Company sold 12.72-percent more natural gas than in the previous year. 

In addition, Armenia’s population consumed 16.95-percent more gas, the energy sector used 29.08-percent more, and other consumers used 18.01-percent more natural gas.

Armenia’s industrial sector, on the other hand, consumed 7.81-percent less gas in 2011 than in the previous year.
