U.S. President Donald Trump referred to protesters opposing his administration’s policies as “trash” during a conversation with reporters in Washington.

The American leader emphasized that, in his view, these individuals do not represent the country’s interests.

“I’ll say this: these people do not represent our country, and not all of them, of course, but many of them are just trash. They’re total trash. They are paid agitators, and they do not represent our country,” Trump stated.

Last week, nearly seven million Americans took to the streets to protest Donald Trump’s policies.

The president expressed his belief that billionaire George Soros and other “radical left extremists” might be involved in organizing the No Kings protests against the government, though Trump noted he considers the events somewhat of a joke.
