Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will attend another “liturgy” at Hovhannavank Church on November 2.

Pashinyan himself announced this in a video posted on Facebook on Sunday.

“Today was a day to kneel before our Lord and Teacher Jesus Christ and the altar of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church and ask for forgiveness of sins. The agenda of liberating our Holy of Holies—the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin—is, first and foremost, a renewal agenda: the spiritual renewal of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church.

But at the same time, it is also largely an agenda for the renewal of the souls and spiritual lives of its followers, of each of us. I am speaking first and foremost about myself. And today’s liturgy was, for me, an important start for the renewal of my soul and spiritual life. And I hope that all those who support the agenda of liberating our Holy of Holies—the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin—and the spiritual renewal of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church will begin that process with the renewal of their own souls and spiritual lives.

Because on the path toward the liberation of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the renewal of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, we must be worthy of our Holy of Holies. I also want to say that next Sunday I will again attend the Holy and Immortal Liturgy at Hovhannavank,” Pashinyan said.
