The European Union (EU) and Turkey have decided to commence economic discourse, Turkey’s minister for European affairs Volkan Bozkir stated on Monday in Brussels.
“Economic relations stem from the interests of both sides. That is why we have decided to conduct economic dialogue,” Bozkir said, reported TASS news agency of Russia.
The European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, for his part stated that the European Commission is considering the modernization of EU-Turkey customs union.
The 53rd meeting of the EU-Turkey Association Council is held on Monday in Brussels.
