YEREVAN. – Armenian government decided to provide a territory of 97.4 hectares for the construction of a photovoltaic power station in the community of Masrik, Gegharkunik region of Armenia.

The draft decision was presented by the Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Ashot Manukyan.

According to him, the land worth 73 million drams will be donated to the Ministry, and then transferred to the company that won the tender for the construction of the Marsik 1 photovoltaic station.

At the same time, the company will pay the cadastral price of the land to the community to solve social problems,” Manukyan added.

The installed capacity of the station will be 46 - 56 MW. At the moment, licenses have been issued for the construction of more 11 solar power stations throughout Armenia. The total capacity of all heliostations in Armenia will reach 75 MW in the next six months.
