YEREVAN. – The Republican Party of Armenia does not intend to nominate a candidate for the Prime Minister’s seat, if the Armenian PM res, the leader of the RPA faction Vahram Baghdasaryan told reporters on Wednesday.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan “is aware of this,” said MP adding that they had adopted policy that would not hamper the government's activities.

RPA faction leader avoided answering the question whether RPA may not participate in snap elections.

Baghdasaryan also did not rule out that RPA could become extra-parliamentary force.

“Nothing is excluded in politics. Nobody has the monopoly to be in the parliament or in power forever,” he said.

Asked why Armenian ex-President Serzh Sargsyan has been silent for so many months, the RPA faction leader noted: “He speaks at the RPA Supreme Body meetings. He does not make any unanimous assumptions. He always discusses the matters and makes a decision.”
