Three persons have died and another is injured after a road accident Sunday, in the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR).

At 22:07pm, the Artsakh Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report from the Shahumyan regional emergency situations department that an accident had occurred on the road leading from Karvachar town to Tsar village.

A fire and rescue squad was dispatched to the scene.

It was found out that a jeep—driven by a resident of Gladzor village of Armenia’s Vayots Dzor Province—had gone off road and rolled into the river running through the valley in the area.

The driver and two fellow villager passengers had died on the spot, while another passenger had suffered injuries and was taken to the Shahumyan regional medical facility.

Doctors say the patient is in moderate condition.
