The Armenian Embassy in Russia contacted the Russian relevant authorities in connection with media reports about the murder of three-time world Thai boxing champion Ashot Bolyan in Moscow.

According to the information received, the athlete’s body (born 1979) was found on Wednesday evening in the south-west of Moscow.

A criminal case has been opened, A. Bolyan was the Armenian citizen.

As reported earlier, three-time world Thai boxing champion Ashot Bolyan was killed in Moscow. A source in Russian law enforcement agencies informed this to TASS.

According to open sources, Ashot Bolyan headed the World Association of Armenian Sports Federations. In addition, he was the general manager of a Moscow-registered company related to sports.
