An Armenian woman has been included in the new Lebanese government.

Vartine Ohanian has been appointed Minister of Youth and Sport.

It is the first time in Lebanese modern history that an Armenian woman has been appointed minister, Arevelk reported.

Prior to this appointment, Ohanian was director of the “Zvartnots” Special Needs Center.
