PreferredCHARLESTON. - Federal Court of West Virginia put off next preliminary hearing on two Russians and an Armenian citizen accused of fraud with Medicare federal health insurance program for the elderly and disabled, reports infosud.ru.
The hearing is postponed upon the request of defense, which required additional time to prepare motions. Initially, the hearing was scheduled for July 13.
Earlier Armenian News - NEWS.am reported that defendants in the case are citizens of Russia, Igor Shevchuk and Arsen Bejanyan and citizen of Armenia Sargis Tadevosyan. According to investigators, they have created several fictitious companies that have applied for medical insurance payments of approximately $3 million under Medicare federal program.
