Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that his country and Russia have disagreements over the military operation in northern Syria, but Ankara does not believe that Russia will interfere with it. According to him, the Turkish side did not receive any sharp reaction or protest from Moscow.

“I do not think that Russia will interfere. We have disagreements with Russia on many issues, including actions in Ukraine, non-recognition of Crimea, and so on. But we have economic and political relations,” Mr. Cavusoglu told NTV.

He said that the US and Russia did not keep their word given to Turkey on terrorists in Syria, so Ankara will have to resolve the issue on its own. On the other hand, the US and Russia do not have the right to speak about the planned operation of the Turkish Armed Forces, they did not keep their word,” the minister said.
