YEREVAN. - Kajaran Copper-Molybdenum plant will increase production capacity by 30% in the next few years due to modern U.S.-produced mill, head of transport department of the plant Ruben Abrahamyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

By the end of this year the mill construction of which was launched 1.5 years ago will be run at full capacity.

American technology allows crushing the ore more and metal production rate increases. It will also reduce the total waste, which is extremely positive from an environmental point of view.

Presently combine is processing 43 thousand tons of ore a day, with a new mill the indicator will go up to 50 thousand. According to Abrahamyan, the plant is increasing efficiency of metal production with every year.

For instance, ten years ago the company could process at most 23 thousand tons of ore a day.
