ETCHMIADZIN. – All Armenian Catholicos Karekin II received on Friday an Iraqi delegation headed by the Yezidi spiritual leader Emir Tahsin Beg. The Catholicos Karekin II welcomed the visit of the Yezidi spiritual leader to Armenia and Holy See of Etchmiadzin in connection to the sanctuary consecration in Aknalitch village in Armenia’s Armavir Region on Friday.

Emir Tahsin Beg stressed the importance of the friendship between the two nations expressing satisfaction that the Yezidi freely maintain their national-religious life in Armenia and are fully integrated into the country’s life.
