YEREVAN. – It is not known how many people have settled in Armenia due to the Ukrainian crisis, but 69 citizens of Ukraine have petitioned to the Armenian State Migration Agency, with a request for asylum.

Agency Head Gagik Yeganyan told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

“There are families who already have been granted a status; the others’ matter is still being discussed. According to the [respective] procedure, an inquiry is underway.

“The Armenians are the majority of the [Ukrainian] citizens who have applied, but there are foreigners, too,” Yeganyan also stated.
