YEREVAN. – The studies have shown that, in separate cases, Armenia’s Nature Protection Ministry has allowed for an inappropriate spending of its non-budgetary allocations, the Control Chamber’s conclusion states.
Specifically, the Ministry building was renovated, and rugs and other items—totaling AMD 3.5 million (approx. US$ 8,980)—were purchased on the account of the 2009-2010 non-budgetary allocations.
But the Ministry’s non-budgetary allocations are provided by international organizations and donor countries, and for the purpose of carrying out environmental activities and programs.
