YEREVAN. – The tenders for serving Armenian capital Yerevan’s news public transport routes will be open and transparent, Mayor Taron Margaryan stated during the City Hall Staff’s regular consultation.   

“Those companies that offer more comfortable vehicles and conditions to our residents will become the winners,” he said. 

Also, Margaryan instructed so that global positioning systems (GPS) and WiFi Internet be installed in all of Yerevan’s new public transport buses.   

Separately, all economic entities are obligated to improve, take care of, and cover with green areas the locations nearby their workplaces.   

Upon the Mayor’s instruction, from now on all construction plans must include access routes for the physically challenged.   

Also upon Taron Margaryan’s directive, the artistic lighting of Yerevan’s architectural and high-rise buildings will get underway.
