Germany’s Minister of State Cornelia Pieper will come to Armenia’s capital Yerevan, on Monday, where she will meet with FM Edward Nalbandian and Culture Minister Hasmik Poghosyan.
Also, Pieper will visit Yerevan State University, deliver a lecture for the students, and subsequently get together with news reporters.
On Tuesday, the German State Minister, together with Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan, will officially open the German Center for Language Training.
In addition, Cornelia Pieper will formally open a tapestry exhibition.
“Germany’s relations with Armenia and Georgia have deep historical roots. This spring will mark the 20th anniversary of [Germany’s] establishment of diplomatic ties with these states. With my visit, I wish to honor this occasion.
In my meetings I will clarify that Armenia’s and Georgia’s upcoming elections are an important criterion for democratic development and for these countries’ direction toward Europe,” Germany’s Minister of State Cornelia Pieper said in Berlin on April 14, prior to her visit to the South Caucasus.
