YEREVAN. – Parliament opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun member Benik Hambardzumyan has withdrawn his candidacy, Central Electoral Committee spokesperson Hermine Harutyunyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Hambardzumyan was No. 47 in the party’s proportional list. His withdrawal came after he was appointed head of the electoral committee in one of constituencies of the Ararat Region, ARF Dashnaktsutyun member Spartak Seyranyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun is one of the oldest Armenian political parties. It was founded in the end of 19th century.
Party’s proportional list includes 85 candidates. Eight candidates will run for an MP seat with majority system. The party’s motto is ‘Freedom, Justice, Dashnaktsutyun.’
