YEREVAN. – Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s gun is not a usual one, it is a unique model, deputy principal of the Caucasus Institute Sergei Minasyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, commenting on the ‘gold gilded thing’ which was noticed on the belt of PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan.
Mr. Minasyan, the fact that the PAP leader goes to meetings with a gun has caused a lot of fuss recently. Have you seen the photograph? Is it a gun? If yes, what is the model of the gun?
I did see the photograph. It is not a usual gun, it a unique model but I can’t tell the name.
According to rumors in the media, it is a Colt. Could such a firearm be attached to Mr. Tsarukyan’s belt?
As much as I know the law does not state what type of firearms our MPs are allowed to carry.
So, if the law does not state anything about it, does it mean they can carry whatever they want?
Yes, theoretically it comes out that way.
What is your attitude towards the fact that Gagik Tsarukyan claims it to be a phone but Vardan Oskanyan has stated that judging by the photographs it looks like a gun? It comes out that Oskanyan says one thing and the PAP leader another.
According to my information, some PAP members do not deny it to be a firearm. If the second representative of PAP has said such a thing then it’s true.
Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is a political power included in the ruling coalition.
