If tours were organized in Vanadzor once a week, it would not matter as the youth would still go to Yerevan during the remaining 6 days of the week, Armenia’s Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan answered to a journalist from Vanadzor, commenting on his remark that the citizens of small cities are attracted towards Yerevan as the cultural life in the regions is not satisfactory.

According to the minister, structures that will provide for daily cultural entertainment must be created in the regions.

“This is the only way to solve the issue,” the Minister Said.

According the Hasmik Poghosyan, the number of cultural events organized in the regions has increased through the years, but the condition is still not satisfactory.

The minister mentioned that in 2013 the regions will benefit from the state budget.
