Bako Sahakyan, the President of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic had a meeting with Edward Nalbandyan, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs in Stepanakert. The parties discussed issues regarding the current stage of Karabakh conflict resolution. Sahakyan once again highlighted that NKR is an established state and its independence and security is not a subject to discussion.

At a 2-hour meeting with the journalists the Minister said that the US, Russia and France presidents’՜statements on NKR conflict resolution and proclamation off Madrid Principles arose discontent among NKR and Armenian people.

He reminded that the Madrid document was introduced in 2007 and its principles were available on the website. The document is just a proposal for negotiations. “At the moment some proposals and provisions of the documents are being discussed, some – are not. Madrid document clearly states the main 3 principles: the right of self-determination; territorial integrity and non-use of force”, clarified Edward Nalbandyan.
