Great powers warned Iran that it will face tough sanctions for its nuke program if it continues neglecting demands of international community.

The New York Times quotes U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates as saying, “I think you’re going to see some significant additional sanctions imposed by the international community, assuming that the Iranians don’t change course and agree to do the things that they signed up to do at the beginning of October.”

Iran’s nuke program was already condemned by world powers. NEWS.am recalls that on Nov. 27, IAEA board passed a resolution on condemning Iranian nuke program and demanded to shut down this project. However, Islamic Republic’s government claimed it needs 20 uranium enrichment sites to meet nuclear fuel demand.
