STRASBOURG. – If the claims that Azerbaijani delegation members to PACE have bribed their colleagues with black caviar is true then it is absolutely inadmissible, Council of Europe (CoE) Secretary General (SG) Thorbjørn Jagland said during the press conference on Thursday
According to him, the PACE and its members should be independent, autonomous and act by on behalf of the organization by protecting its standards and values. In addition, regarding possibilities of investigating these facts, the SG said that he cannot hamper the PACE work, as it is an independent organization.
The PACE MPs made a special report this summer about the facts of bribing their colleagues by the Azerbaijani delegation, contact.az reports.
