YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan received on Monday the Chairman of the Germany-South Caucasus Parliamentary Group of Bundestag Wolfgang Bornsen.

The sides discussed Armenian-German relations and regional issues. They stressed importance of deepening cooperation in all fields expressing satisfaction with intensified inter-parliamentary mutual visits and contacts. The officials also touched upon the International Parliamentary Scholarships (IPS) which has been operating in Armenia since 1998.

Numerous Armenian students underwent training in the German Bundestag and applied their knowledge in various fields in Armenia. Starting from the next year German students will be provided with an opportunity to undergo training in the Armenian Parliament as well.
